Thanksgiving is but a couple days off and we have to separate ourselves from other family members due to the COVID19 pandemic. We know this will pass, but for the moment we are saddened not to be together as a family. Having people bustle through the door with their favorite dishes and the grandchildren burst through to play with each other is what makes holidays special. However this holiday we will be grateful for those memories and appreciate them all the more because they are memories.
My husband, my 91 year mother and I are at the family cabin so we won't be tempted to drop in on any of the kids. We woke this morning to a beautiful snowfall.
Of course my box will not stay outside, but I love it with the snow! Since I am a stickler for not skipping holidays, the Christmas greenery cannot go in yet. We'll be back in 2 weeks and then it will change.
Until then we are going to enjoy our week of relaxation in front of a roaring fire.
The snow has stopped and there is nothing like the blue of a Colorado sky!
